Sprint Filter produces systems that differ in the quality of the materials used and production processes. To install a Sprint Filter dynamic intake kit it is necessary to eliminate the original filter box and connect the Sprint Filter intake system to the throttle body using pipes not supplied in the kit. KD1TCR, the flagship of Sprint Filter, is approved in the World and National Championships by Honda through Jas Motorsport.

The Sprint Filter air filters to replace the original are produced in five filtration grade variants (P08, P037, P08F1-85, P14 and T12) and allow the replacement of the filter element without any type of modification.

They are in fact studied on the original filter box and designed for perfect interchangeability with the original air filter

The Sprint Filter Universal air filters are produced with three types of fabric (P08, P037 and P08F1-85) depending on the type of use. They can be installed by eliminating the original filter box and positioned directly on the throttle body or by means of pipes that allow them to be housed in a sheltered place where they can suck in fresh air. Suitable for extreme motor transformations.

These special universal air filters are equipped with an inverted filtration cone on the top to significantly increase the filtering surface and therefore also the quantity of air introduced into the intake manifold. The special shape of the Double Flow air filter ensures air entry both centrally and laterally, allowing adequate air entry even if the filter is positioned in a not particularly advantageous position in the engine compartment.

Maintenance of the air filter is an important operation for the protection, care and efficiency of the engine: an intact and clean filter, in fact, will always ensure the correct quantity of clean air to the air-box.

Another aspect not to be overlooked regarding the maintenance of the air filter is its duration: the cotton filter, in addition to the time required for disassembly and reassembly, necessarily requires the vehicle to be stopped due to the washing, drying and oiling procedure of the filter element, all of which are not necessary operations with a polyester filter. In fact, the procedure for cleaning the Sprint Filter is extremely easy and quick: just use a jet of air in the opposite direction to the direction of the suction to remove most of the retained debris. There is no need to wash the filter, so the drying phase is not necessary, allowing immediate reassembly.

Only in case of heavy dirt due to heavy use of the car or encrustations resulting, for example, from the exhaust of recovered oil fumes, can a common detergent be used: soap, shampoo… this rapid degreasing before blowing guarantees the total restoration of the filter’s performance.

The polyester air filter ensures a very high air flow, which cannot be achieved either by cotton filters (whose permeability depends on the number of layers used), nor by original equipment paper filters.
