EFFICIENCY

The polyester air filter ensures a very high air flow, which cannot be achieved either by cotton filters (whose permeability depends on the number of layers used), nor by original equipment paper filters.
Let’s remember the simple equation: more Air = more Power!

The manufacturing precision of the polyester filter allows for a filtration level equal to that declared and constant over time. The cotton filter, on the other hand, is characterized by extremely variable openings, from a few microns to several tenths. This means that initially the cotton filter has a low filtering power (equal to 50% of a contaminant with a range from 5 to 200 µ. Only after the formation of a dust-cake on the surface does the filtering power increase up to 80% of the aforementioned range, but this results in a drastic loss of load.
In summary, for 50% of its life, the cotton filter has a low filtering power while for the subsequent operating time a very high pressure drop.

The filter element is made up of a thin polyester filament woven to generate a mesh of a few tens of microns, homogeneous and compact, capable of retaining all significant particles allowing a very large air passage.

The Sprint Filter air filter, thanks to its uniform structure, ensures less disturbance to the air flow (also thanks to the fact that the special and patented single-layer polyester filter material allows turbulence to be reduced to a minimum on the entire surface of the air filter), thus guaranteeing perfect functionality of the air-box.
